This has never happened before. Momo Telecommunications is launching MobiThon — an annual hackathon built to push innovation, technology and real solutions to real Tanzanian problems.
And it is not for developers only.
MobiThon is open to individuals, developers, startups, businesses and companies — anyone with an idea or a solution they want to build using Momo Business.
The prizes

The top three placements are open to individuals, startups, businesses and companies alike. You are not judged against a different bar because of what you are.
The finals
Everyone who reaches the finals presents in person at Millennium Tower, Dar es Salaam — the same day the Momo Business platform launches officially. Developers, founders, companies and the press are in the room.
And this is not a one-off. MobiThon runs every year, as a platform connecting developers, entrepreneurs, startups and technology people to each other, and pushing a new generation of Tanzanian-built solutions.

Startups, companies and sponsors
MobiThon is not only a hackathon. Every year five startups and technology companies — whose products do not compete with Momo Business — get a stand at the event, in front of developers, innovators and the Tanzanian tech community.
Sponsorship packages are open too: your logo at the event, a speaking slot, your company featured on the main event screen, and further brand visibility across the edition.
