Publish and schedule social posts

Prepare content for connected destinations, choose when it goes live and check each platform’s publishing result.

Posts lets you prepare shared content, adapt it for connected destinations and publish now or at a chosen time. One post can have several destination results, so the final check is whether each intended account published successfully.

A café announcing a weekend menu, for example, can start with one caption and photo, then adjust the wording for each connected account. Save the first version as a draft while the menu details are being checked.

Check destinations before writing

Your role needs Posts viewing access to inspect posts and management access to create, schedule or publish them. The destination accounts must also be available to you and able to publish. A connection that receives messages may still need an additional publishing grant.

Use Connected accounts to inspect a missing or disconnected identity. Platform configuration, provider approval, account permissions and media requirements determine what the composer offers. Follow the limits and notices shown for your selected destinations instead of assuming every platform supports the same post format.

Prepare a post

  1. Open Posts and select New post. In Where, select the intended accounts. Confirm each account's name and platform, especially when the workspace manages several brands.
  2. In What, write the Shared caption. Put the useful information first: what is available, when it applies and the next action. Review the displayed character, hashtag and mention checks.
  3. Add your files under Media and wait for uploads and processing to complete. Correct any media errors before posting. The app checks the selected destinations' requirements, so changing the destinations can change which files are suitable.
  4. Open the platform tabs to review account-specific options. Use the customization control when an account needs a different caption or first comment. Media continues to follow the Shared tab. Check any visibility or other publishing options shown for that platform.
  5. Add First comment only when useful and supported. The composer identifies destinations where it will be skipped. Review each preview, including customized text, rather than checking only the shared caption.
  6. Choose the action under When. Save draft, followed by Save as draft, stores the post without publishing. Post now, followed by Check & post, begins publishing after validation. Schedule, followed by Check & schedule, saves a future publishing instruction.

For scheduling, select the date and time carefully. The picker uses your browser's time and shows a workspace-timezone note when relevant. Read the resulting schedule after saving, especially when planning from a computer in a different timezone.

Resolve blocking errors before submitting. Warning checkboxes explicitly accept the stated consequence; read each one before ticking Tick to post anyway. A preview or successful check is preparation, while the final post or schedule button authorizes publication.

Review what happened

Use Drafts, Scheduled, Sent and Failed to find the post, then open its details. A partially published post can appear in Sent because at least one destination succeeded. Inspect every destination's status and use View on links where provided to check the platform result.

  • A destination needs reconnection: repair the account, then use that destination's Retry when offered.
  • Media or content was rejected: read the destination error and correct the stated requirement before another attempt.
  • Posting is paused: scheduled work may wait while the platform or module is paused; review the displayed notice.
  • Plans changed: use Cancel schedule or Stop for work that has not completed. These controls cannot retract content already accepted by a platform.

Deleting the post record in Momo Business leaves published platform content in place. Delete on a platform is a separate action, offered where supported. Follow public responses through the social comments guide.

Plan the response work as well as the post

For a promotion, include the dates, availability and next action in the caption, then decide who will monitor incoming questions. Check the destination profile and any links before scheduling; a clear post that points to an unavailable service still creates avoidable work.

Use a small review checklist for each platform: correct account, readable media, accurate caption, working destination and intended publish time. If one account uses customized wording, review it separately after changing the Shared caption.

After publication, check the platform result and follow replies in Comments or Inbox as appropriate. Keep common questions in your notes so the next post can answer them earlier.

For a partial failure, record which destinations succeeded before retrying. Correct and retry the failed destination where that action is available. Recreating the whole post can duplicate content on accounts that already published successfully. If the offer changes after publication, update or remove the platform content through its supported controls and check the result there.
